Student Paper Competition

Eligibility :

The proposed paper has to be part of the Conference final programme.

Authors have to be students when they submit their paper on October 17, 2005.   Post-doctoral fellows are not eligible, nor are papers co-authored with non-students.

Papers can be presented in French or in English.

Selection Process

Papers submitted to the Competition will be evaluated by a sub-committee of the Scientific Committee.

Results will be announced during the Conference.

Please note that the conference committee reserves the right not to award any prize if none of the papers is judged to be of an acceptable standard.

Deadline

The deadline for submissions is  October 17, 2005. Papers received after this date are not eligible. Please e-mail submissions to Anne H. Gauthier  at gauthier@ucalgary.ca.

Prize for the best paper presented by a student in French :

·         300 $ Prize offered by Association des démographes du Québec

·         Membership Fee for Association des démographes du Québec and Canadian Population Society for year  2006

Prize for the best paper presented by a student in English :

·         300 $ Prize offered by Canadian Population Society

·          Membership Fee for Association des démographes du Québec and Canadian Population Society for year  2006
